walktall: I'll be deleting their find if I get no response. B-| Apr 16, 2015 9:17:00 GMT
walktall: What's this 6! notifications when I logged on this morning :-* Apr 16, 2015 9:18:00 GMT
pigdogboyandgirls: loads published last night. Got a couple and one of the ones that I thought I'd save for today was got first by a Dutch guy! Apr 17, 2015 7:51:32 GMT
walktall: Don't need any FTF's till Sunday, one will just do :-X (:)) Apr 17, 2015 8:19:33 GMT
walktall: O, think I've upset the CO of Downton Treasure Hunt, got a snot-o-gram email :o I'm still willing to help the CO as I like the idea of the cache now I've got my head round it :) Apr 17, 2015 21:14:47 GMT
walktall: Just got a reply back from my email reply and they've cooled off now :) Apr 17, 2015 21:17:49 GMT
Gackt: Sorry to hear about your troubles for pointing out cache hiding rules. Apr 18, 2015 9:13:21 GMT
Gackt: I see sparklepig have found that cache. Maybe they can confirm if it was hidden where you think it is supposed to be? Apr 18, 2015 9:14:38 GMT
pigdogboyandgirls: It is indeed in the stone wall, well the fallen down section under stones. If I remember rightly it was a take away style pot and not much cop Apr 18, 2015 12:56:44 GMT
walktall: That's what I gather from the CO on their 2nd email after they had cooled down, in the fallen down bit not 30 paces from the "treasure gateposts", where you can see, odd stones have been moved. I was disappointed, far better places. Apr 18, 2015 18:04:59 GMT
Gackt: Date, time, current temperature, compared to latest cam shot - http://www.lunnahouse.co.uk/webcam.html#Latest Apr 25, 2015 7:01:52 GMT
walktall: The one on the 22nd April looks good :) Apr 25, 2015 13:47:56 GMT
Gackt: The link I posted is just a blank screen now, guess cams a bit dicky. Been looking for holiday places, but I think that might a bit far for rest of family. Apr 26, 2015 7:17:11 GMT
walktall: I will soon be going to Shetland, perhaps not this year. The picture is stuck on a shot in the dark from this morning, you can see the outline of the hills. Apr 26, 2015 9:00:57 GMT
walktall: It seems on an Oregon 650, if the cache is more than 110 miles away, it isn't listed in the list of geocaches on the unit, even though it is in the GPX folder :o Move and suddenly caches appear in the list (if within 110 miles of the unit) 8-| Apr 26, 2015 13:10:12 GMT
Gackt: Would love to go to Shetland, but we're looking more the other direction now, Lands End way. Apr 26, 2015 18:54:01 GMT
Gackt: My old Garmin eMap is similar in that that it will only list caches I have input into it that are within a certain mileage range. Apr 26, 2015 18:55:58 GMT
walktall: I hadn't come across it before with my old GPS and trying to check opensource maps I had loaded, covered the area I wanted, I found the caches weren't there. Apr 26, 2015 20:53:18 GMT
walktall: We're off to St Just for a week in June :) Apr 26, 2015 20:54:30 GMT
walktall: wow - Shetland looks lovely today :) Apr 27, 2015 9:12:42 GMT
