Anybody read any of these books? Geocaching mystery novels
I have not read any yet. But as there is a sale on for her first book 'F1rst To Find' in ebook formats from today until the 9th, I think I will give it a go.
There are some links on this page that are advertising it from $0.99: redadeptpublishing.com
The cheapest uk pound link I could see was the one from Kobo for 73p. You will need their reader or app if you buy from there though.
I am about two thirds through F1rst to Find. I didn't know if I would enjoy it before I started.. whodunit's aren't really my thing, but it's quite a good read actually so far. I am sure the Miss Marples among us would have worked out by now who did do it, or at least have some good ideas. But I haven't a clue.
Geocaching plays a major part of this book. It's the main reason that drew me to it to have a read. It would be interesting to know opinions from those that have never heard of Geocaching though, e.g. is it as weird to read with references to caching terminology and gadgets as a Star Trek book might be to someone who has never read or watched.*
*that's just a random thought. Not obviously expecting to find that out from anyone here
I haven't read any geocaching novels (yet?), but if I do, I'm starting with this one - which is written by one half of local cachers, Weston Wanderer. He is a master cache crafter, and it's especially cool finding his cache containers with children.
I still have to read the third book in this series.
A number of caching books by various authors including this series are to do with death, being thrillers, or murder mysteries. I have just seen that this particular book though that is about to be published, Caching In: A Geocaching Love Story, which is quite a change in theme.
Book Description Publication Date: 11 December, 2014
