I've been caching for nearly a year now!

I would really like to do one of the loops of the GCW and wondered if anyone else would care for a walk around? I could even provide transport from the Swindon direction.

My initial thoughts are a weekend either 11th & 12th or 18th & 19th October.

I started 10am and finished 10 hours later, I had issues of rain and bad footwear, so my walking rate slowed down and I walked right by a load of them, if the weather is nice it really is a nice walk.

I had some DNF's and so in total 16 left to go claim and finish circuit.

We can check with Roo and see that they are all in place or do some maintenance for him to prevent any dnfs.

Cool! After discussing with Matt (pigdogboyandgirls) at the Swindon event on Sunday, we're thinking of parking at Quenington and doing GCW #1 to #93 so you'd be welcome to join in. I think Sparklefingers may be coming too, and the muggle who might have joined me has now dropped out.

I've not done long walks for quite a while so depending on how it goes and how everyone feels when we get there we may give the north loop (#35 to #70) a miss.

Obviously this is also weather dependent and I've not yet arranged a start time, but suspect early morning would be best?

Happy for you, Matt or anyone else to chip in and help lock this plan down

Sounds good - I've done 1-3, and 6-13 but that still leaves plenty to nab. Having been a bit lacking in long walks I'm tempted to say I'll leave the northern loop for another day - might be worth parking a car at Ablington to give an option of wimping out . . .
I live near Stroud so about 40 mins away depending on traffic, but early morning would be good. And sunshine if possible

I have 99-110 so that idea suits me well. Maybe 8 hours for that bit? I''m usually up early
