INSTRUCTIONS on how to use a GPS will be given in a workshop at the Gateway Centre, in the Spine Road, South Cerney on July 11.
The workshop will provide a hands on introduction to navigating with a GPS unit, led by experienced staff from nearby outdoor equipment store Cotswold Outdoor.
There will be information on everything GPS related, such as sharing routes with walking groups, or getting to grips with geocaching, which is pastime that involves using a GPS to locate containers hidden around the world Those attending will also be told how to plot and follow a route, as well as providing a chance for some hands-on experience.
Booking is essential for the event which runs between 10am and 11.30am and the cost is free.
