I heard about the Surrey and Hampshire A-Z series (26 + bonus) on a recent podcast, each cache being hidden at a different place in county for each letter of the alphabet.
Is anyone interested in doing this for Gloucestershire and could we work on it collectively? (many hand do make light work...). We have all of the letters of the alphabet, save for Z.

@griff Grof - I'll post on Cachewalker referring people to this thread, so that it's kept all on one.
higster - My initial thoughts were that, once we see who wants to try and make this happen, and we've divvied up the letters, people do whatever they like by way of caches. We'd just have to make sure there was a common 'look and feel' to the individual listing pages - but that's not too difficult to achieve - and make sure people get the right info for a bonus into their caches. It would be pretty neat to hide the bonus cache at or as close to the centroid of the county we could get to, if we could work it out.
Silly touchscreens - I must have tapped 'delete' - there's no other explanation for it. I'm so sorry, feel really bad!
I guess there's not much point of using a thread as a portal to here though, and vice versa. It is a shame that the original forum for Gloucestershire can't be the centre of discussion for this great idea though.
Anyway, this isn't the place to discuss these issues. Back to the series. Happy to help where needed

@griff Grof. No worries - stuff happens. Sorry if I've started this one running on the 'wrong' forum - it's just that this is the one I automatically thought of using when the idea came to me.
Both, let's see who else is interested in joining in before we start gettinf into any detail.

Where are you going for 'X'
Oops - missed that. Perhaps somewhere with the word 'Cross' in it's name?
I would be happy to help in the North of the county if required. Who gets the 2 in the Forest of Dean (Viney Hill and Joys Green)?
Good question! There ought to be some caches in the Forest of Dean, although if we can't include a cacher over that way we might have to pore over the OS maps to find other J's and V's.
