Thank you. I might take a look using James' or Tracy's FB accounts to get a better idea of what is going on.
I certainly wouldn't move the forum to FB. The base stays here. But twitter is useful tool bringing traffic by highlighting interesting posts here, I might be able to use FB in a similar way. I am loathed to sign up again, and so won't rush into it.
It might be that some will only use one 'site' and information will need to be duplicated across.
Personally, I like to keep track at just one location and find on FB you can easily loose track of conversations if you don't use it regularly or if it's busy, very regularly.
Am doing a check through the listed forums in the title thread post to see which are still active and to tidy up the post if necessary.
On a side note, I haven't done a proper look of the Glos or Wilts FB groups on Tracy or others FB accounts, although I watched Storm post some from the Swindon BBQ event on one of them. The Cotswold Caching connected twitter account (@cotswoldcaching) is flying at the moment though with over 1000 followers currently, many of who are cachers, interested in caching, related activities, or useful local businesses like Pubs which local caching events have been held at. That's more followers the GAGB or any of the UK mega event accounts But it's not about the numbers
Well done, it's because you run it so dedicatedly, interacting with cachers etc... You deserve to be the most successful UK GC twitter and I hope the reign continues
I think both the East Anglian forums have gone, although I gather there is at least one Facebook group.
Thank you for letting me know. I will keep an eye on them for a couple of days before I delete them off the list. The EA Geomobber one has been around for a long time, it will be sad if that one is gone.
