Plus if you are trying to decipher the fuzzy routes, you're wrong. You'll end up with damaged eyes, an incomplete route and getting lost in the quarries. As somebody has said on the page, EVIL EVIL EVIL. I did say it was one of the hardest in the UK, if not the hardest
Just a note: Does it say anywhere on the cache page that you don't have a responsibility for anything and that everything is done at the cachers own risk? If not, it would be wise, as if someone was to have a terrible accident whilst attempting it, people could try and hold the CO responsible - it's happened before!

@griff groff I think a 5*5 automatically assumes that you are taking a risk, but on the safe side we do have some 1.2 metre wide rolls of bubble wrap at work that I can bring along if its going to be a Cotswoldcaching adventure!
@pir8sold&new only if you want to log it, come for the adventure though!
Gackt I envy your clarity! Too much going on atm to have a good look, although I have seen some things, just not the light!
I'd love to join in, I'm always up for challenges, my only down side is that I can't assist with anything that needs looking at on the cache pages for the PM's only. With hard hats and lamps, I might be able to sort something out.
I've started looking at: Above Below - The Steps and working on working it out. I'm so over my head!

@griff Grof - Whilst I think it could be a good idea to put some sort of disclaimer on cache pages such as these, I am no legal expert but I would think that if 'god forbid' something awful did happen in one of these areas whilst someone was trying to find a cache, then whatever kind of disclaimer was written on the page probably wouldn't hold up in court. There are some real dangers in this type of environment, and these are noted clearly on the page, and that coupled with tough enough puzzles to stop the general public just wandering in unaware of what they might be letting themselves in for, I think works well for these particular ones.
@pir8sold&new - If you worked as part of a team with members who were premiums, it is possible that the CO might let you log it. bareclawz decision, it's his cache.
As for the working out of "The Steps", I will not give the answer, but I will tell how I worked out. This was the first of these types of puzzles that I solved. I did not find an answer on the net as to how the coords puzzle were created. I still do not know the answer to this now. For myself, I have an interest in such places, and so I researched the area well. I then used logic to create a number of possibilities that the coords could be. I then visited the area with xJammmzy and searched all the possible answers I had come up with. No success. We took some time out and explored 'deeper', and once out had another good look around. This time we found it, a little way from one of my answers. From there I then had a good set of coords that I could work with to help me with the other caches. I have to say though, that by that point I had worked out entrance coords pretty well for most of the others through research.
I do make things hard for myself sometimes.
pigdogboyandgirls - It is not a great time for me either. For the next week or so I will only be on here sporadically. Unfortunately I will not be able to work on much more of the page until next weekend. Happy I have had some breakthroughs though
I actually now want to see walk tall complete in a Zorb.. squeeze, squeeze, squeeze.. nope he's stuck at the first hurdle
I replied humoursly to the threat of legal action with my cotton wool posting as I assumed it was meant humoursly. But as has been pointed out the dangers are clearly spelt out as is the statement I do not want this to be the first cache to cause a death! If that's not enough warning then I suggest a safer hobby such as stamp collecting (hang on risk of paper cuts), knitting (oops sharp pointy things), train spotting (nope too many rail related accidents), bird spotting (nope avian flu and bored to death by Bill oddie) so maybe below Above 5/5 caches are the a the safer bet.
Yes if a non premium is part of a team they may log it. Later after the initial rush of finders is over in will un premium all the ba series again anyway.
Any more complaints about a bad time for me, I'll slap their wrist! You think you've got it bad. I've mentioned health issues delaying featuring Fallen Monarch as cache of the week and those issues are at a head at the moment. I'm typing this on my phone from a hospital bed whilst awaiting open heart surgery! Reflect on the fact 2 weeks ago I walked the entire Mega Breakfast route so stop whinging and get on with it lol
I did see you post about delaying because of health issues. I never imagined the severity of it. You take it easy now and concentrate on looking after yourself, and we'll squeeze a few more minutes in to the day to crack on further with solving.
