just had a look. is there an easy way to find out if you qualify? i don't think I'm anywhere close btw....
I did it manually using GSAK, first getting it to list Latitude cache finds and setting the 'user flag' on a cache find that completed a line e.g. its latitude co-ordinates were between (inclusively) N51 00.000 to N51 00.999.
Then the same for Longitude.
Then at least it's easy to see which ones you've completed as you marked the cache finds that completed lines, by selecting 'user flag' 'set' in the GSAK filter options
Perhaps then best to export these marked cache finds to another database (in GSAK) or external file, so you have a quick reference to those found and hence what still needs to be done
I found one cache today, just because it's the last day of the year and I thought it would good to. Filled one of my many gaps too.
On Monday I did three OC virtuals in Bristol whilst rest of family watched Snow White. Afterwards we met this famous chap by the stage door. Here's Little C, who's looking not so little next to him. Not a great photo, but there's no mistaking who it is from that big grin he always walks around with.
Today. Some days are special and today was one of them. I had a seven mile walk across wet and muddy marshes and found only two GC caches. But one was a FTF (guess I won't be needing a Jet pack at the weekend ) and the other was a cache resuscitation after 15 months unfound with the last 2 searcher logging dnfs. That was pretty good, but I also found a good place to put a traditional style Terracache -and had a suitable container, which saved me a 7 mile return trip.It gets better! I got home and check my e-mails and a CO who hasn't logged onto TC for well over 2 years has sent me the CC for a missing cache I replaced for him in September. To make my day complete (although at only 7.20pm there is still time to go) I had a very apologetic e-mail from a cacher who had managed to find one of my caches, and then promptly drop the cache container into the murky depths of the Norfolk Broads. The fact I had originally rescued the cache container from a long forgotten cache made it funnier. All that effort and then some b****r goes and drops it in the water! Oh Well!
I have been absent here and there of late, and sadly will continue for a while, as my already limited spare time is being taken up with the Save Our Cirencester campaign. The incompetent Cotswold District Council seem hell bent on destroying towns and villages in the AONB, and whilst one may feel at times that individuals are powerless to stop monstrous developments like the proposed 2350 tightly packed dwellings they want to bolt on to Cirencester at Chesterton, if I do not put as much effort in as I possibly can now to try and stop it or at least reduce the numbers, then even if it does go through at least I can say I haven't sat on my butt and not done anything about it.
Here at Upper Rissington, CDC have let the developers get away with not complying on pre-conditions for the building work here. And now even though there was a building limit set on the original planning permission, the developers have been allowed to add extra dwellings. There is feeling in the village, that the developers will try and add more houses to the village, in areas that are currently green space.
And just before Christmas, the legal document the S106 that CDC was involved with, the Parish Council have found out that they are liable for a £32k Stamp Duty bill that they were not expecting and just can not afford, so we have a brand new village hall that can't be used
PS Gackt: Good luck with the campaign, make as much noise as you can i.e. media and document everything. BBC Midlands are asking for an interview about our village hall situation.
I didn't think it would last past the weekend, so would have been very surprised if it had lasted till the 19th (tomorrow). Looking forward to finding though
