Good to see your progress, keep us posted, and I will try to highlight what you are doing as much as I can wherever I can. Will need to wait till end of month before I can pop a little into the fund myself though.
Well, yesterday we finished the last stretch of the Thames for walking, by completing Cricklade to Lechlade. We grabbed 32 caches on that stretch. Weather was terrible, and I now have to retire my walking boots completely. (will be giving them a viking burial once I've completed the boat).
Found our charity is helping us with accommandation, and just got the rescue boat to confirm, but looks like I now have to book into the Waterloo pier.
As LB has gone back up north to Coningsby, I've been left with the job of testing her some point this week, looking at Thursday. I'm looking for anyone about 12 stone willing to jump on the back and giving a paddle please..
I'm going to try & get down for the launch to see you off. Is there a specific time that you are aiming to set sail?
We were looking at 10am, as for the first day we have 28.5 miles to paddle to Oxford to arrive at the YHA, and as we don't know the resistance the boat will cause at the moment, and sadly LB isn't free now until 13th, so I need to test her out to check how long she is likely to take to travel.
If it was upto me, I'd try a midday start. But then that leaves 7 hours to travel the 28 miles!
Btw, I'd just like to openly say thank you to A. Cacher for the kind donation, we appreciate it a lot.

Ooo, in that case I might see if I can pitch my tent at The Trout on the Saturday & be there early to wave you off. It will give me some practice before PitateMania
Hey Mate, sorry for not replying yet, net playing up. We are looking at Thursday, but not decided on location, I've got to fins somewhere deep enough but easy to get to. I've got to just do the maths on the bouyancy for weight, I know rob is 85kg, which is 13.5 stone and I'm 15 stone so just got to check the final figures.
Robbo, I know the Trout Inn has the circus there that weekend, so got to check with the pub, but they do have camping there, want me to find out from Rob what the plans are?
The Trout isn't doing camping that weekend as the Circus takes up the entire field so I'll try Bridge House Campsite which is a short walk away. I might be able to find a few of the Thames Path caches while there
AH no worries then. I really enjoyed doing the Thames Path Caches, but from Church Micro Inglesham to Thames Path Upper Inglesham, the walk is along the main road and can be quite dangerous. I have done 66 out of 75 caches along the Thames, really good trail.
