Below Above Caching Sat 5th October (past event)

I'm keeping it to Cotswold geocachers.
Plans are well under way now and all parties working to getting everything in place. So far so good

One slight amendment is that the new cache will be called
Below Above - The Caretakers Fright.

The idea for it came from a thread on this forum.

History
Many people are aware that very close to the location of this quarry the then WD had a munitions depot, underground. In this converted quarry explosives, shells and bombs were stored and often prepared. There has been a legend that when they moved out there was one bomb unaccounted for.
Of course this might just be a rumour. But all too often rumours have a grain of truth in them.
Many people will be aware of a gentleman who looks after several of the local quarries and generally removes graffiti and tidies them up, he has earnt the nick-name 'The Caretaker'. It was whilst exploring a rarely visited passage and doing some of his tidying up he moved some stones and uncovered something that looks suspiciously like a WWII bomb!

Your Mission
The Caretaker has discovered that the fuse has a four digit combination and that there are clues at four locations on your way to the bomb that you will need to defuse the bomb and be able to gain access to the contents inside.

This whole thread gets a thumbs up from me.

I think I'll see about bringing a birthday cake on the day, who knows might get MadKate123 to make it for me, try and get it caching themed, that or underground.

To make the day more enjoyable, anyone got any requests for caches on the BA series they would like to do?

I am liking the idea for cache jestersmagpie. I wonder how easily you'll get the cache passed by reviewers with the word 'bomb' in the text. That bit of text could always be enciphered though I guess

Pir8s, BA caches for me for the day are really Gruidae and M Breakfast, and anyone who gets the urge to walk FDS tunnel this time will be pointed the general direction of it from afar


And the new one if goes ahead of course
