Work in progress. Just played a little with gpx files and the c:geo android app. c:geo has not worked at all with gpx files from caching sites other than geocaching.com for quite a while, if indeed it ever did work well.
I have found that if you make the following small changes to the gpx files they will successfully import into c:geo and work as far as the initial waypoints are concerned. So useful to see if there is a TerraCache nearby to you, for example, if you are out and about. But as the main cache page details are not included in TC downloaded gpx files, a check of the site is still needed to see if more is involved with the cache than just going to find a box.
So take or leave this as you wish. Maybe someone else can play with the idea further and make it work better than I did.
The fields to change in the gpx files are:
Type change from: TerraCache|Classic Cache to: Geocache|Traditional Cache
Symbol change from: TerraCache to: Geocache
That is all that needs changing to make compatible.
TerraCaches then show as brown ?? on the map alongside the usual GC.com caches:
I have blurred coordinates for the cache used for the example so as not to upset the CO:
It would take a lot to upset Graham and Shirley (Team Postie Grum).....
That is good to hear
I would like to look into changing these files a bit more / find the quickest way to change them, but will not be for a while.
As c:geo have enough to do keeping up with groundspeak changes which keep breaking the app, I don't think they would take on other cache listing sites too, so if I want to use the app for all my purposes I'll have to do the work myself.
Actually, I think drop the guys a message, because they will probably help with the introduction of other types of caches, they seam to be getting fed up with groundspeak constantly messing them about, well thats how it comes over on FB.
I have c:geo working better with TC now with the new site. I have written a very quick guide to importing caches into c:geo for use: (pdf file) Using c:geo with TC
Not quite as straight forward as using for geocaching.com, but it wasn't designed for. But it's less faff then it used to be with the old TC site.
After you posted on Terratalk I downloaded GSAK and found the method works very nicely with terracaches. I also put Opencaches onto GSAK and into c:geo in the same way as GSAK seems to make a general overview of a large number of caches much easier. I tried also with Navicaches but although I did a search and downloaded a zip file from the Navicaching site GSAK was unable to open it. Anyone else had this problem? and if so is it fixable?

I haven't tried with Navicache to be honest, there are few of those near me than TCs. But I will give it a go to see if I can make it work if get a moment.
