Father Thames for 10:15 for us it is then. Realistically it may be a few minutes later than that for us to get there, but I will gee up everyone to move as quick as they can as soon as the bus has pulled in.
Sorry you couldn't make it today Pir8sOld&New. Hope your Dad is doing OK.
I've only just got back in TJ had landslip on the line, so had to get the train from Banbury. Well, got to Oxford coming back and we were all kicked off the train. Cracked rail further up the line. Had to wait about 30 mins for taxis, so was taxied back to Charlbury Some were taxied all the way to Worcester and Great Malvern
Oh my, that was an eventful journey back! I think I would of had a couple of very tired-stressed-irritable-slightly-reluctant-cachers on my hands by that time if we had hit such trouble
That said we hit a tiny snag in comparison when we left you after our part time stint. After turning back to take the tube from Barbican we found it was closed. There was another station not too far from it, but I made them walk back down to St Pauls as I knew that one was running. You can probably imagine what Little C thought of that.
Hope you both got a good few after we split? Be interested see which they were. We had a non-caching day from then comprising of M&M world in Leicester Square (over rated), and then a Science museum visit. We did just sneak in one more easy virtual at the end as had 20 mins spare before the coach came.
TJ and I had a bit of fun and games with the tube as well.
We sat waiting for a Circle line train at Mansion House, a District & Circle lines station. Got there and the third train was Circle but then it turned into District!
Then they change a District into Circle on the displayed board but the tube turned up with District all over it!!
O well, again, the third train listed was going to be Circle, so we waited. This, yes you've guessed it, became a District train!!!
I think it was about this time we heard some mumble on the announcement system about issues with Circle line. We caught a District train two stops, then onto Northern line to Euston
When we came to leave Euston, we thought as the issue was Kings Cross to Euston, that the Circle from Euston going west would be OK but
with poor signage at Euston with all the refurbishment happening there, we couldn't find the Circle line
TJ asked at an information point which way to the Circle line,
a walk up the road away from Euston rail station,
we found it closed and the first notice I'd seen about the Circle line closured over the weekend
While walking from Euston to Warren Street tube, we came across a period drama being filmed tarmacjohn, did you managed to get a better picture of the actors?
Wonder what was being filmed, a clue may be one of the actors
Nope, my photo's didn't come out very well. For some reason when the flash comes on when near any objects the photos tend to be underexposed and very dark and when it doesn't come on it is quite blurry when the light is dim. Your camera obviously handles it better than mine.
Obviously Mr Cumberbach but Sherlock appears to be in the wrong time period. Wikipedia says he will be filming in Jan and Feb, we will have to wait and see
