I posted this on the Gloucester Caching Facebook group and it was suggested that someone on this forum might know more. We were out walking on Thursday a few miles to the west of Tetbury and came across a circuit of caches like this photo. We found five of them and signed the blank log books and suspect there are more (likely a bonus?). They appear to have been placed within the last week given the flattened grass near each one.
I am trying to find out who the CO is so that I can check whether they are happy for us to log then once they get published. They are also outside of our normal notification range. It was an enjoyable circuit so I hope they do get published for others to enjoy! Thanks
They're not anything to do with me, I haven't physically placed any for it yet. Can't speak for the others though.
Hi Winter Foxes, welcome to the forum. Were there any other clues in the caches that might lead to who placed them? If there was a GC code or cache name written on it somewhere a reviewer might be able to tell you who they belong to.
Leonards193 and carrog have cache series' in that area, maybe one of them are setting up another?
Winter Foxes, I DNF quite a lot , was that the cache by the lone tree? That area is part way between home and mutchie's so I occasionally look for a CND on route or way back. Not been placing any there, sorry.
Still no new ones popped up in my inbox yet, so yes the mystery continues...
Maybe the CO has just placed them and is waiting a while to see if they stay in place. I know some people do this, and it's a matter of months before they submit them (and, indeed, have a GC code).
Gackt - yes the lone tree. It was in the obvious place, just well camoflagued. Let me know if you see anything get published in the area. I will just run a search in the area once or twice a week to keep an eye on things!
Is this new multi near Calcot Manor is what you have found?
Now that's an interesting one. I dismissed this one as a possible for the ones Winter Foxes found when it popped up as it was just a single cache, and many multies tend to have virtual stages now. But this one is showing all physical stages, so I wonder if you are correct Yorkshire Yellow.
No instructions on the cache page as what to do with them. Log sheets in all of them? And the CO has no finds. A slightly odd setup.
Yes, these are the caches we found, thanks for sharing the link! We suspected that there were more, so we only found 5 of the 8 physical stages. As you say, it is not clear what to do with the letters or why there is a log book in every physical stage. I will drop the CO a line via GC.com
