Has everyone who has wanted to find one / hide one done so? Just that the month is drawering to a close, less than a week left.
It would be great to hear what everyone thought of the lab cache idea, and their hides and finds. I have taken a screen shot of the one I hid, as I don't believe it shows as a hide on your stats. Won't post it up yet obviously till it's found otherwise someone else might nab it before YY does. Same with the one Yorkshire Yellow has kindly hidden for me, have taken a screen shot, but I won't get to go find until tomorrow, possibly today, but we have football again shortly.
For those that have found one, can you click on it in your stats and see the page like any other cache you have found? I will find out this soon myself, but just wondered. Thanks.
Well mashcast should have his this morning after a bit of a coordinates cock up.....
I picked up mine yesterday on the 3rd attempt Thanks a lot! I got to keep a bison tube to boot and had a chuckle at the code I needed to enter to claim it.
I set out a series of 4 caches for PDBG - the first was a small with a string of text sellotaped to the side of the container and it contained some co-ords and one of those telescopic magnet things. That led to the next was a 2.5 foot length of plastic tube which I'd sunk into the ground then dropped a magnetic nano into, which then had co-ords to cache 3. The 3rd was a camo tube in an ivy covered tree which pointed to the last which was a rock type micro, containing a code to decode the string of numbers attached to the first.
PDBG - did you take the first cache with you or did you need to go back for it? I'd be interested to know more about how you found it...
I'm tempted to do a puzzle or multi type cache along similar lines at some point - would this be too annoying for some cachers? I'm wondering if there's a limit to how much you can inconvenience someone for one smiley...
Griff has done one for me but I need to go and find it.
I know lab caches are experimental but they seem to be a bit disjointed from the rest of the current cache types, they seem to be a cross breed between the old virtual and challenge caches.
The CO doesn't get an icon but the finder does
Click on the finders icon and you go to the general lab cache area
Limited to what you can put on the cache page
They are aimed at smart mobiles but you can use a GPS (wherigo replacement?) - you get this message going to a lab cache: "Please make sure Location Services are enabled for your web browser."
I found getting back to a lab cache I created not easy, menu system needs improvement
And are GS doing a U-turn and caches without a physical cache are coming back
Again, I know these are experimental and has GS learnt from the Challenge cache debacle and so is trying it out, hence why bits aren't quite right?

I've found mine - great fun! And thanks again to Gackt for creating and placing it for me. It was a very generously stocked container. All I need to do to be able to log it is to look through some of the items he'd stocked the cache with. It was in the same location as his archived BA - Oil Drum Lane, so fun to get to, albeit a little damp and muddy in parts.
I found the lab cache hidden by Yorkshire Yellow yesterday in the early hours. A great spot for a cache, and I am now the owner of a 'ready to go' cache. Have some ideas of what it will be called, and sort of an idea where I will hide Thank you
I have noticed with the find that my overall cache find number went up by one, but it was not included in the numbers on the stats page. That might confuse things when going for milestones.
