I have noticed with the find that my overall cache find number went up by one, but it was not included in the numbers on the stats page. That might confuse things when going for milestones.

O no, here we go again
I read somewhere last night, but can't remember where now, possibly the groundspeak blog, that this is how it's supposed to be set up as far as stats are concerned.
With challenges they made a separate tabbed section for them like trackables, so the challenge find numbers were not connected to the cache find numbers. But this lab cache set up is a bit weird, in that the find is included in the cache found numbers, but not on the stats page. I am not really into stats as much as some people, but I would still prefer the lab cache finds to be included all or nothing/separate.

Yes I noticed that when I downloaded my "My Finds" PQ and then uploaded it to My Geocaching Profile site, which already has the Lab cache icon on the finds list but it showed no find against it for me, even though I had found a personalised lab cache
I agree, it should be all or nothing, this halfway house is the worse place to be.

I rally liked mine, but, as I've said on my response to the poll concerning this on Cachewalker, I have to say that I just didn't get it - what it was done for and what it was trying to achieve.
Your Lab Cache finds are now more official than ever. Lab Caches are scheduled to be rolled into Geocaching find statistics and your milestones beginning on June 3, 2014. Besides cheering, there's one other thing you might want to consider doing.
The addition of your Lab Cache finds may alter your milestones. Check now to lock-in milestones on your Geocaching.com profile. After the update, you'll be able to use the tool to lock in a Lab Cache find as a milestone. You'll also find Lab Cache stats on your chronology and geocache types section. If you created a Lab Cache and it was logged, you'll find new stats on your owned geocaches page.
Thanks for finding a Lab Cache and helping to play a part in shaping the future of geocaching.
Thank you for the link walktall, I had not read that section.
Thought: if very short events are called Flash Mobs, shouldn't these short spanned lab caches be called Flash Caches?
Lab caches look to slowly be coming together. I do sometimes wonder what the paid groundspeak employees do all day. Oh, yeah, they're probably out Geocaching
But can we actually create them like any other cache type yet?
Not according to the info on the link I posted
It will be interesting on the 3rd of June to see who much more info can be seen about completed Lab caches, as well as new ones to be found, as currently it's piratically nothing.
